GameStop Advanced Controller PC

by Ca9ine

GameStop Advanced Controller PC

Yup, that’s the name and brand of my new controller.
After my previous little slaughter of the Thrustmaster T-Mini, I had to go get myself another gamepad. The GameStop Advaned Controller has it all, and it was cheap! A fourth of the price of and Xbox 360 controller! It also satisfies my needs and my thumb is doing OK considering it’s still sore after the T-Mini’s abuse!

It features:

• 12 programmable action buttons
• 2 analogue sticks & programmable turbo function
• 2 powerful vibration feedback motors
• Programmable turbo function
• Comfortable Rubber hand-grips & coating

But, that being said, I’m still after an even more 1337 controller!
I’m after, and am gonna get the Mad Catz Ryu 360 Fightpad (bottom right).
There’s a few factors involved in why I’m getting this; It’s a pure D-Pad without the analogue sticks, made for fighting games, perfect button setup and licenced for Street Fighter IV, and last bo not least; It fucking rocks! The design and look is excellent! If you’re a Street Fighter IV fan, this is the pad for you!

Maybe I’ll get the Fightstick sometime  too!

PS.
Linked site is a flash site.

Street Fighter IV

by Ca9ine

Street Fighter IV

Come on! Is the anything cooler and more addictive than Street Fighter IV?
The answer is “NO”, plain and simple! I was afraid I might have had hyped myself up way too much on the insane hype around the game itself, but no, this game even managed to impress me way beyond my expectations concidering!

17 years ago, Street Fighter 2 came to the SNES, and I have not been as overwhelmed by any other game in the series since. Until now! Street Fighter IV looks, feels and handles so great,  even when using a keyboard. I’m getting myself a D-pad or and Xbox 360 controller, though, something  just doesn’t feel right when playing a Beat ‘em Up when the controller is missing.

The graphics, you can’t complain. They are great! Smooth animations, impressive effects and for the PC, you can choose different artistic styling to the graphics. So god damn cool! I feel a little wet around some cavaties here!

The special moves are just excellent! Nothing has ever looked better!
HA-DOOOOOO-KEN! Can you tell my favourite character is Ryu?

The inclusion of Games For Windows – LIVE and the achievements is a welcome addition in my opinion. Fight other players online, and use the achievements to strive to become a better player (fighter? YESH!). Check the GFWL leaderboards and set your goal! I know I have!

Find me and challenge me! I’ll take you on!
SHO-RYU-KEN!

Finally Back Home And Settled In

by Ca9ine

Fuck me it’s great to be home again!

After a somewhat, not exactly shitty, but not great vacation up north, it’s damn good to be home again. MY house, MY bed and not to mention MY TOILET! I love my toilet! It’s my sanctuary and my throne, where I can enjoy a few minutes of peace… and a shit.

In all seriousness, the old saying “home sweet home” couldn’t apply any more perfect to me. The best thing is, I still have a couple of days left of my summer vacation. Which I will and have spent refurbishing my middle son’s bedroom.

I’ll also be picking up and finishing the work on The Group Thing together with Hangman, Mustang, Salteh and Tsujigiri. And you can mark my words when I say; it will be jawdropping when it’s done. Expect a little blog entry here when it’s time. We’ve spent countless hours on it, so a little promotion here is well deserved if you ask me.

Now, I’m off to bed! Good night!
