Don’t Mind Me

by Ca9ine

I’m just working a little here on the blog layout and the CSS. I’m very picky and if I find the smallest little thing out of place, or if something is annoying the fuck outta me, I simply yell “ARSE!” and get on with the editing.

This time it’s the Twitter sidebar widget that’s annoying me.
It shows an arrow and linebreaks for every link.
ARSE! /me edits!

It also seems I’ll need to do some editing on display of Flash etc.
It also look a little MAN-WANK!

PS.
As this is my own blog, and it’s very fresh, I don’t mind going “unprofessional” and editing or testing stuff live. If you do, well, gently fuck off. :)

Waiting For – BRINK

by Ca9ine

Now here’s a game I’m following closely and looking forward to be able to play! This game is gonna be pure awesomeness as far as awesomeness ever gets! So if you’ve missed it or have never heard of BRINK and it’s developers, read on.

BRINKSet in a alternative future where the Earth’s oceans have reportedly risen at a  rapid rate, the planet’s habitants have been forced to move and take refuge on the Ark, a man-made floating city made up of hundreds of separate islands. Now at the brink of an all-out civil-war, it’s up to you, the gamer, to decide the future of the Ark and the entire human race.

BRINK will utilize the same squad- and objective-based gamestyle we’ve come to expect from Splash Damage, but without vehicular play like ET:QW had. A new and cool feature is the introduction of the SMART button, which makes “the game dynamically evaluate where you’re trying to get to, and makes it happen. No need to perfectly time a jump or vault, the game knows what you want to do.”

A very welcome feature of BRINK is the seamless integration of singleplayer, multiplayer and co-op. Whatever you choose to do, you will gain experience points to upgrade your character’s skill, abilities and even the look and feel of your character. Online or offline, your progress still applies.

Splash Damage Ltd.Developed by one of the best developers on the planet, the multi-award-winning Splash Damage, known for legendary titles Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, their new game BRINK will follow it’s predecessors gameplay and style. BRINK is using a highly modified version of the engine used for ET:QW, and moving away from the Megatextures used in ET:QW in favour of Virtual Texturing.

Developer: Splash Damage Ltd.
Publisher: Bethesda Softworks LLC

I Like Testing

by Ca9ine

Here’s a cool entry for you! Purely a Facebook test!

I can add this cool link to the test, though; www.bodiestheexhibition.com
My wife and I saw this exhibition in Prague a few years ago, and I’m still amazed by it when I think back at it. I held a brain in my hand! How cool is that? These are real people, preserved in the best manner possible, for scientific and educational purposes.

GIEF FOR GAMING!

by Ca9ine

Let’s talk a little gaming shall we?
There’s a few titles out and a few more coming that I’m dying to get my hands on!

Street Fighter IV
This game looks so awesome! The reviews say it’s awesome and  my buddies say it’s awesome! I’M MISSING OUT! Now, I don’t own an Xbox 360 (yet?) so I think I’ll just grab it from Steam and buy myself an Xbox 360 controller for Windows. I hear this game finally shatters the fun we had with Street Fighter 2 on the SNES 17 years ago.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
This is a no-brainer. Infinity Ward developing it, no WWII shite and with it’s predecessor’s success and playability, I’m having it! I think I can manage without the Prestige Edition, though. I’ve used nightvision goggles more than once before… They’re not all they’re cracked up to be.

Wolfenstein
Now, I don’t know what to expect here. I’ll buy this title regardless. I’m an id Software fanboy, so anything from their franchises, I buy. It might be shite, I’m afraid it will be, but hey… I might be surprised too!

Bioshock 2
The game has been pushed back to 2010 before release, but I’ll put it here regardless.
The prequel was absolutely brilliant, and I suspect the sequel to be even better! So this is also a no-brainer for me.

What about you? Anything you’re looking forward to dear readers?

What Do You Think So Far?

by Ca9ine

I’m a little curious. If any of my readers, if I even have readers except my 2 (YAY!) subscribers, have any comments about the blog look and design. I’d like to hear your ideas.

Be it missing widgets, forms, or anything at all you feel the blog lacks, please comment on this entry and let me know. Maybe you’re used to reading other blogs that have done stuff in easier or smarter ways than myself. I’m open for suggestion and feedback. Anything at all, just lay it on me.

Found a bug? Do the same! Comment on this entry and let me know.

PS.
Don’t forget my Twitter account. You can reach me easy there too with a little “@Ca9ine j00 are teh suxx” if you feel like giving me abuse.
